Label containers with large, clearly visible identifiers. Write the intended use on the side of the container, for example ”washing water”, and use the same label on work orders and at hose storage points. A clear order of use reduces unnecessary movements. First, fill the tank you’ll need at the start of the job, and leave the other tank for the next stage of the work. If brushing begins immediately upon arrival at the site, the washing water is used first. When the job later requires a different liquid, the relevant tank is already on hand, so there is no need to return the equipment to the refuelling point in the middle of the day.
