Two tanks, two uses: here’s how to separate washing water from the liquids needed for work

A rack for two IBC containers helps to keep washing water and the liquids required for the job in their own, clearly labelled containers. The site stays tidy when filling, use and emptying follow the same routine.

A rack for two IBC containers provides you with two separate liquid supply points for the same work shift. You can reserve one 1,000-litre container for wash water and the other, for example, for a preservative or liquid fertiliser. When the tanks have their own designated uses, your team can find the correct valve, hose and filling point without any guesswork. We manufacture twin-tank racks in Kempele for tractors and wheel loaders, and we’ll tailor the mounting arrangements to suit your machinery.

A rack for two IBC containers organises the site’s liquids into distinct categories

A two-tank system works best when you assign a specific purpose to each tank. The wash water tank is used for cleaning machinery, tools and outdoor areas. The other tank is reserved for the liquid required for the job. For example, at a property maintenance site where sweeping is required, the washing water can be kept ready in one tank, whilst the other contains the fluid needed for the specific task at that site. This ensures that if one tank runs empty, the entire work phase is not interrupted.

Label containers with large, clearly visible identifiers. Write the intended use on the side of the container, for example ”washing water”, and use the same label on work orders and at hose storage points. If a second container holds a chemical, always follow the product’s own labelling and handling instructions. Supplied by the chemical supplier Safety Data Sheet contains information on its safe handling and storage.

As each tank has its own specific purpose, the work proceeds smoothly without any mixing of liquids or work stages.

Plan two tanks for the same working day

Please let us know which vehicle the rack will be fitted to and what liquids you will be transporting. We will agree on the dimensions and mounting points of the rack to suit your needs.

A rack for two IBC containers speeds up filling and the order of use

A clear order of use reduces unnecessary movements. First, fill the tank you’ll need at the start of the job, and leave the other tank for the next stage of the work. If brushing begins immediately upon arrival at the site, the washing water is used first. When the job later requires a different liquid, the relevant tank is already on hand, so there is no need to return the equipment to the refuelling point in the middle of the day.

Two 1,000-litre IBC containers mean two separate liquids on the same rack assembly. The benefit is particularly evident on days when you’re travelling between multiple locations in the Oulu and Kempele areas. Keep the hoses, connectors and any pump solutions for each tank in their designated places. See also the use of irrigation water in brushing, if you are incorporating water supply maintenance into your property maintenance work schedule.

A rack for two IBC containers will be built for your use

We manufacture racks for two tanks from Finnish steel. The components are laser-cut, the surface is powder-coated and the rack is inspected before delivery. We deliver the complete unit ready for use, and no special tools are required for installation. We use lifting lugs as standard fastenings, and we can also provide customised fastening options. Usein kysyttyä

What is this set of two containers suitable for?

This two-tank system is ideal for work on farms, in property maintenance and on building sites where both washing water and another type of fluid are required at the same location. The tank rack is mounted on a tractor or wheel loader, so the liquids are always on hand wherever the work is being carried out.

Can I use one container for washing-up water and another for preservative?

You can designate containers for different purposes. Keep the container, hoses and connectors reserved for the preservative as a separate set. Always follow the labelling and safety data sheet for the product you are using to ensure that handling complies with the instructions for that specific substance.

How should the containers be labelled?

Label containers with clear, durable labels according to their intended use. Use the same designation on the container, for hose storage and in the work team’s instructions. The label for wash water can be simple, whilst containers holding chemicals must bear the labelling required by the product.

Will a rack for two IBC containers fit on a tractor?

We manufacture racks for two 1,000-litre IBC containers for tractors and wheel loaders. We use lifting lugs as standard mounting points. If your equipment requires a different solution, we will agree on a customised mounting option when you place your order.

Are any special tools required for installation?

Not necessary. We supply the racks ready for use, and no special tools are required for installation. Before use, attach the tanks as per the instructions, keep the functions of the tanks clear, and ensure that the hoses and connectors used during the working day remain connected to the correct tank.
