When is a customised mounting required for an IBC container rack?

A customised mounting should be chosen when a standard mounting does not fit directly onto the tractor, wheel loader or implement in use. We manufacture IBC tank racks for 1,000-litre tanks in Kempele, and we customise the mounting system when the machine’s configuration, frame structure or the space required by the attachment makes this necessary. A client-specific approach resolves issues relating to fit-out and space

Our standard attachments are lifting lugs, which are suitable for a wide range of tractor applications. A customised mounting solution is required if the rack is to be fitted to a front loader, wheel loader or machine that has its own quick-release coupling, forks or a non-standard attachment. The same requirement arises if space needs to be left around the rack for existing attachments, hoses or other components essential for operation.

In property maintenance, the rack can be used on the same machine for both brushing and washing tasks. On a farm, on the other hand, the tank can be used for preservatives, washing water or liquid fertiliser. When the mounting is designed for this purpose, the position of the rack, the handling of the tank and the necessary equipment mountings form a functional whole. What information do we need for a customer-specific mortgage?

Please tell us the make and model of the machine, the type of mounting used, and where on the scaffold you plan to install it. We also need details of the intended use: are you moving water around the yard, using a tank for washing water, or transporting preservative from one stage of the process to another? Photos of the mounting points and the equipment will help with the design, as they allow us to see the available space and any necessary adaptations.

It is advisable to determine the load during the design phase. A full 1,000-litre water tank adds approximately 1,000 kg of water to the total weight, in addition to which the mass of the tank and the frame must be taken into account. The weight of liquid fertilisers and other liquids may differ from that of water. We check the rack’s dimensions, structure and laser-cut sections before delivery. A good mounting system makes the tank rack an integral part of your daily equipment. For example, when carrying out brushing work, the rack can be fitted with mounts for watering and washing equipment. Mounting options are also available for an electric 45 l/min water pump, an acid sprayer and Happowan Spreader products. When these requirements are reviewed prior to manufacture, the machine’s configuration supports the working day rather than taking up time with each use.

We supply the racks ready for use, and no special tools are required for installation. We manufacture the racks from Finnish steel, laser-cut the parts and powder-coat the surfaces.
